For over twenty five years, Barns & Stables has been in the business of designing, engineering, and building horse barns, riding arenas, shelters and modular buildings (workshops, garages, etc.) for individual, institutional, and commercial customers. With an emphasis on customer service Barns & Stables has become the leading builder and distributor of modular barns in the Eastern United States.

As a family owned and operated company, we are dedicated to designing, engineering, and building safe, functional, affordable and aesthetically pleasing barns which exceed the expectations of our customers.

Horse barns have always been a part of the culture and legacy of many families in much of rural America. Barns & Stables intends to build barns which continue to reflect that richness. Our best sales people have always been our hundreds of satisfied customers.

Barns & Stables:

Barns & Stables is able to design, engineer, and build anything from run-in sheds, to barns and riding arenas for equine centers. Some of the more recognized projects we have been blessed to have been involved with include: Fairfax County's Frying Pan Park's Equestrian Center; Frying Pan Park is one of the oldest public equestrian centers in the country and we designed and built two 150 stall barns for them to replace a number of dilapidated wooden barns which were no longer safe. Meadow Farm Equestrian Park Barns; We designed and built a 142 stall Southern States Legends Stables and the Britt/Watson Vet/Farrier Barn. Meadow Farm has historical significance as the former home of both Riva Ridge and Secretariat. The facility is located just outside of Doswell, Va. St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, North Carolina, Equestrian Program Barns; St. Andrews University has a number of equestrian management and science degree programs along with a intercollegiate riding program. Medieval Times Myrtle Beach, where we designed and built a major addition to their barn. The Virginia - Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine; The main campus for the Virginia Maryland School Of Veterinary Medicine is located on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Va. Barns & Stables designed and engineered a complete refurbishment of the Veterinary Hospitals recovery barns. We also designed and built the new ferrier / animal podiatry / training facility for the veterinary school.

Located in Weatherford Texas, Sweetwater Barn Company is a modular barn and building manufacturer owned and operated by Skip and Debbie Hames. As the largest barn builder in the southwest and backed by over thirty years of experience in the design, engineering and building of modular horse barns Skip Hames went into the manufacturing of modular barns and buildings in early 2016 with his son-in-law Joe Widman. And while the name of the manufacturing company may be new, the engineering, design, and manufacturing specifications are the same as those for the barns which Barns & Stables had been selling for over twenty five years. Sweetwater Barns barns built in the USA and they are being built by horse people for horse people.
