  • Fire Resistant. Zero fire spread rated. Fire is the greatest risk exposure to an agricultural or equine barn as the result of hay, bedding and a number of other easily combustible materials. Wood barns are easily susceptible and contribute fuel to any spark, electrical short or flame. With Choice Barns you can be at ease as all of the standard components utilize in the construction of a Choice Barn are fire resistant and are zero flame spread rated. We have had customers who have saved up to forty percent on their insurance premiums.
     

  • Safe & Healthy Stabling of Horses. Wall components are specifically designed for safe and healthy stabling. The standard wall carries a "Lifetime Kick proof Warranty" and there are no sharp edges or exposed fasteners. The adhesive utilized in the vacuum bonding of the steel and wood wall materials non-toxic and environmentally safe. The use of galvalume steel on the interior of the stalls not only provides a safe durable rust resistant finish but one that can be easily cleaned, maintained and sanitized. All of our barns are designed to provide proper air exchange and ventilation for the safe and healthy stabling of horses.
     

  • Stall Interiors are Chew Proof. Our customers no longer have to worry about the replacement of boards due to cribbing, rot or insect infestations. Our barns are constructed of low maintenance highly durable materials that have been specifically selected for their application in the construction of a safer, stronger, low maintenance horse barn.
     

  • Superior Stall Front Design. The standard stall front is constructed with the bottom half being solid and the upper half being grilled with a two foot solid feed door located in the upper left hand corner. The feed door is hasp is designed for one handed use. Stall doors are four foot wide and have the option of being grilled, solid, dutch or yoke styles. Grills are constructed using 1 3/8" 16 gauge galvanized steel tubing spaced 2 1/8" between bars. The utilization of easy to use door hasps to secure stall doors eliminates the potential for a horse learning to defeat a spring grill bar latch.

MINIMUM MAINTENANCE

  • Exteriors: Exteriors of either baked enamel on textured steel, or insulated Hardi panel, require little upkeep.
     

  • Interiors: The zincalume laminate stall interiors (which resemble stainless steel in appearance) can easily be cleaned and disinfected. Vets love this feature.
     

  • Roofing: The roof is manufacturer warranted for 25 years against fading or chipping. It is constructed of standard, commercial grade, R panel, 26 gauge galvanized steel with an Energy Star finish in your choice of colors. STRENGTH & FLEXIBILITY

  • Engineered with a minimum 100 MPH wind load (IBC wind load) and 20lb roof load (higher loads are available for coastal and mountain areas).
     

  • Choice Barns modular construction allows for easy rearrangement and / or the expansion with the addition of extra stalls or space at a later date. Your barn may be easily be taken down and then moved to another field or another state if you buy new property. Barns & Stables offers take down and moving services.
     

  • Stall components are compatible and can be easily retrofitted into existing buildings and barns.Most components are compatible with those of many other modular barn manufacturers – if components for some reason not be compatible Barns & Stables is typically able to customize the parts that will allow you to use Choice components or accessories.
     

  • Your barn is an investment and when properly cared for will continues to be of value for generations to come. Should you ever decide to get out of the horse business Barns & Stables offers marketing and brokerage services. 

Environmentally Friendly

  • Choice Barns are constructed using recycled steel materials. The use of hot dipped galvanized steel, zincalume and aluminum insures a long lasting low maintenance product. All roofing is 26 gauge Energy Star R panel zincalume with a Kynar baked enamel finish.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

Written approval by Choice Barns must be obtained prior to having any repairs made or parts replaced under the Limited Warranty. Unauthorized claims will not be paid by Choice Barns. Written or verbal commitments by salesmen, dealers and distributors do not qualify.

Shipments of products and components replaced or repaired under the Limited Warranty that are approved, in writing, in advance by Choice Barns, then Choice Barns shall bear the cost of the shipment of such products and components.

Repairs and replacement parts authorized by Choice Barns shall be subject to this Limited Warranty for the remainder, if any, of the aforesaid one (1) year period.

To assure the protections provided by this warranty, the Original Purchaser must complete the Choice Barns Registration Card and return it to the Corporate Officers of Choice Barns within ten days of receipt of the materials.

If you do not have a registration card, it is the Original Purchasers obligation to contact Choice Barns for a duplicate copy.

CHOICE BARNS MAKES NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OF WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT AND COMPONENTS AND THE FOREGOING IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES EXCEPT TITLE, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND CHOICE BARNS MAKES NO WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE OR USE.

LIMITED WARRANTY

MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY - Choice Barns, Inc. (Choice Barns) warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date the product is delevered to the Original Purchaser. "Original Purchaser" is that person or entity who originally purchases Choice Barns products for their own use. This warranty is subject to the terms, provisions, exclusions and limitations set forth herein.

ROOF PANELS - TWENTY FIVE (25) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY - Choice Barns warrants to the Original Purchaser that it will repair, or at its discretion, replace the roof panels and roof framework materials damaged by wind loads or snow loads not exceeding purchased loads, except when caused by flying or falling objects, for a period of twenty five (25) years from the date the Choice Barn roof panels and roof framework is delivered to the Original Purchaser.

Choice Barns warrants to the Original Purchaser that it will repair, or at its discretion, replace any roof panel due to material cracking, peeling or checking, which occur under normal weathering conditions.

STEEL LINED WALL OR DOOR PANELS LIMITED WARRANTY - Choice Barns warrants to the Original Purchaser that it will repair or replace any double sided steel lined wall or door panel in which a horse kicks completely through while the Original Purchaser continues to own the Choice Barn in which that panel was originally installed.

The Original Purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy for breach of warranty is expressly limited to: (1) return of the goods and repayment of the purchase price, or (2) repair and replace nonconforming goods or parts as set forth herein. The maximum liability of Choice Barns in connection with this Limited Warranty shall not in any event exceed the original price paid for the product claimed to be defective or unsuitable.


CHOICE BARNS, INC. - WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

THE FOLLOWING ARE SPECIFICALLY EXCLUDED FROM THE LIMITED WARRANTY; (1) Incidental, cosmetic, or consequential damages; (2) Damage caused in shipment; (3) Damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, neglect, accident, or use in violation of instructions furnished by Choice Barns; (4) Damage resulting from acts of God, war or riot; (5) Equipment and parts which have been altered in any way whatsoever without written authorization from Choice Barns; (6) All repairs and replacement parts not authorized by Choice Barns; (7) Wood Finishes (T&G, T-111, etc.) Choice Barns recommends that you NOT use wood product materials on the exterior of any building or interior of a stall containing animals nor does Choice Barns warrant such applications. Because Choice Barns has no control over the matter, Original Purchaser agrees that any warping, separation or surface damage or deterioration of any wall or door panel is not due to any defect in material or workmanship, and is not covered by this Limited Warranty. ON ANY OTHER AREAS WHERE YOU USE WOOD PRODUCTS, CHOICE BARNS RECOMMENDS THAT YOU HAVE THEM SEALED AND THEN PAINTED TO PROTECT THEM FROM THE EFFECTS OF THE ELEMENTS AND USE; (8) Any labor costs incurred in removing or reinstalling Choice Barns parts or products.

 
Specifications
  1. Standard walls are constructed using ¾" CDX plywood core with 26 gauge galvalume steel laminated to one side and 26 gauge galvalume embossed steel with baked enamel finish in a variety of colors, laminated to side number two. Panels are then welded into a 2" x 1 ½" 55,000 KSI G-90 galvanized steel framework forming an 8' high x 12' long wall. The standard Choice Barns panel carries a Life-Time Kick-Thru Wall Warranty.
     

  2. The plywood core and sheets of steel are laminated and vacuum bonded together using Rohm and Haas urethane based adhesive.
     

  3. Sliding grilled stall doors are constructed to match stall front. Galvanized steel door track has two, four wheel trolleys with sealed ball bearings that suspend the door in the door track. Two, galvanized heavy steel formed, door guides direct the door, one on each side of the door opening. Plated steel door latches and door stops are used to secure stall doors.
     

  4. Stall front and door grills are constructed using 1 3/8" 17 gauge galvanized steel tubing spaced 2" 1/8" between bars. The grill plates are punched and 1 3/8" 17 gauge tubing is inserted into the hole and welded on the underside of the grill plate.
     

  5. A 2" x 1 ½" 12 gauge 55,000 KSI galvanized steel connector column is used to bolt stall walls together. Zinc plated bolts are used in the assembly.
     

  6. Divider wall trusses are constructed using 14 gauge 2" x 3" 50,000 KSI galvanized steel tubing. Breezeway trusses are constructed using 14 gauge 2" x 3" 50,000 KSI galvanized steel tubing. Rafters are 14 gauge 2" x 6" or 14 gauge 2" x 9" 50,000 KSI galvanized steel tubing.
     

  7. Minimum 6" x 2 ½" or 8" x 2 ½" G-90 galvanized steel 16 gauge 55,000 KSI C purlins are used for roof framing. Aligning C purlins to the slope of the roof maximizes the strength of the roof to sustain high winds.
     

  8. Roofing is Energy Star 26 gauge R-Panel, 80,000 KSI zincalume steel with Ceram-A-Star baked enamel coating, coming in a variety of colors. The roofing carries a manufacturers warranty of 25 years.
     

  9. #12 self-taping zinc plated screws with Neoprene washers are used to secure the roof to the barn superstructure.
     

  10. All welds are treated with cold galvanizing compound of 83% pure zinc dust, which protects the metal against rust and corrosion. USDA authorized.
     

  11. All work shall conform to the latest edition of the IBC, A.I.S.C. or local building codes.
     

  12. Certified welders in accordance with A.W.S. specifications shall do all welding.

  14. All dimensions on plans are centerline of columns.
     

  15. Columns are anchored using 5/8" x 5 ½ " wedge anchors, minimum 4 ½", embedded into concrete.
     

  16. Standard wind load is 90 MPH IBC with loading available to 140 MPH and standard roof load is 20# live load with snow loading to 120 PSF/exposure.
